CHAMPLAIN FAMILY DANCE – Family Dance this Friday, February 6. New times 5:30-6:30 for K-3, 7:00 - 8:00 for 4th and 5th graders. This is a family dance, parents must be in attendance. Please respect the times as they relate to your child's age and grade. The half an hour between 6:30 and 7:00 is to allow us to say goodbye to the K-3 crowd and make space for the 4-5 crowd. MAGNET SCHOOL UPDATE - Magnet School Update: Parents and community members can review the DRAFT registration criteria for our new magnet schools and provide input starting today at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=_2fER1JUjSHMuhJNZCjGV_2b4A_3d_3d
The district will also hold two registration review and input sessions on Tuesday, February 10th from 5-6pm and 6:30-7:30pm at 150 Colchester Avenue. These sessions are targeted toward parents of pre-schoolers and incoming kindergarteners, but are open to all interested community members. More information is available at www.bsdmagnet.com. CUB SCOUTS – Our next meeting is Thursday, February 12, 2009, 5:15 - 7 pm, at Champlain Elementary. We are working on our first badge the Bobcat Badge! We’ll also start designing, woodworking, and racing small gravity powered race cars in preparation for the annual Champlain Valley Pinewood Derby!
