COMMUNITY NEWS
SCHOOL BOARD UPDATE
FACILITIES -- The district has been steadily moving forward on the Master Plan and Vision for excellence and equity. The City Council passed a resolution in early October committing the city administration to work collaboratively with the school administration to review master plan priorities and the borrowing capacity of the city. These discussions have begun and we anticipate bringing forward new recommendations on how to begin work on the facilities aspect of the Master Plan jointly in January. To learn more about the the School Facilities Improvement Master Plan and a potential bond visit www.bsdplan.com.F

MAGNET SCHOOLS - The magnet schools are in full development. Both Barnes and Wheeler are working with their partners, Shelburne Farms, Flynn Theater, and St. Michael's College, to define the mission and core values for each academy.
