PTO MEETING WEDNESDAY: Was your New Year’s Resolution to be more involved in your child’s school? Are you itching to chat about a school-family partnership? Wednesday's PTO meeting is just the ticket: Along with plans for upcoming parent workshops and Safe Routes to School work, we will be continuing December's discussion on the 3 C's: Communication, Collaboration and building Community at Champlain Elementary. (Hey, that's 4 C's.) Bring your ideas, give your input and leave your mark. Help create an "idea-base" that the faculty can use as a springboard for conversation at Monday's in-service. Then, later
in the year, the whole community will have the chance to meet and discuss how we build successful partnerships that benefit all Champlain students.

SCHOOL BOARD MEETING: This is your last chance to comment on this year’s school budget! Tonight (Tuesday) at 7pm at Burlington High School, the Burlington School Board will determine the school budget
that will be presented to the voters.
CLASS PARENT COFFEE HOUR: All Champlain families are invited to our "Class Parent Coffee Hour." We will gather this Thursday, January 14th, from 8:10am -- 9am (ish) in the Art Room. We will have a chance
to get an update on what activities and events have taken place in your child's classroom, and continue to brainstorm around the school topic of “Communications, Collaboration and Building Community:
creating partnerships to support and nurture our children”. We can also share new ideas and thoughts around parent involvement.

COFFEE CLUB - IT'S TIME TO ORDER FOR JANUARY: Happy New Year! Was your New Year’s Resolution to be more involved in your child’s education, or was it to drink more coffee? Coffee makes a great gift
for teachers, friends & neighbors! Order forms will go out with today’s Blue Note, and orders are due back on Tuesday January 19th. The coffee will be ready to pick up in the teachers room Friday, January 22nd, at the beginning of school.
