PIZZA FUNDRAISER: Put that pot roast back in the freezer because Wednesday, October 28th is pizza night from Mama Mia’s. But you have to order your pizza first! Did you send in your pizza order? If not and you still want to order pizza(s) contact Jenny Breckenridge at jennybreck@burlingtontelecom.net. Pizza pick up is at Champlain School on Wednesday between 4:30 & 5:30.
HAUNTED FOREST: Need we say more? The annual Clymer street haunting and scholarship benefit will be Thursday, October 29th with a rain date the following evening. The hauntings begin at 6:00 for the little ones, while the harder-to-scare can come between 6:30 and 7:30. Questions? Contact Katherine Montstream at kmmstudio@gmail.com.
CLASS PICTURES: It’s not too late to order photographs from Ambient Photography, our school photographer. All children were photographed whether you pre-ordered pictures or not and images will be kept on file for a few weeks. Order forms are available in the office. Ambient will be doing picture re-takes on Friday, October 30th for those who missed picture day or weren’t happy with the result. And, get this, Ambient can also photograph siblings together this Friday, including younger siblings not yet at Champlain. Ambient Photography can be contacted at 872-0905.
FAMILY DANCE PARTY: Now is the time to dance with your children, and, coincidentally, The Pine Forest Family Dance Party is on Sunday, November 8th. The party runs from 3-6 at The Baird School's McClure Gymnasium (1138 Pine St.). Music is provided by Karl Michael (Downtown DJ by night and Pine Forest teacher by day), while American Flatbread and Sadie Katz Deli will be selling the delicious food. Admission: $5/adult, $3/child, and kids under 2 are free (or $10 for the whole family). Please call 488-6750 or contact Karen Spach at karenspach@gmail.com
ADDITION SUBTRACTION BALL UPDATE: Now hear this: the dress code has been relaxed! Wear what you like! But, on second thought, wouldn’t you really rather get all gussied up? C’mon, get the cummerbund out of the closet. Where’s that old prom dress? The New England Center for Craniosacral Therapy’s party with the Starline Rhythm Boys is coming up soon. Saturday, November 7th at the Sheraton Hotel Ballroom. All proceeds go toward the Champlain PTO and the Vermont Food Bank. Class Parents Dave Tomlinson and Kate Kennedy are the ones to contact to get tickets. 578-9451
