4/5 ART SHOW:
The Champlain 4/5 Class will be having an Art Show at the Fletcher Free Library in Burlington. The opening will be on Saturday, May 8th from 3-5. We are asking interested parents to bring veggies & dip or other healthy snacks to the opening. The young artists have been making game boards and cards, so get ready for some afternoon gaming at the opening. Also, Champlain's Art Teacher, Jen Peck, is looking for help hanging the show the preceding Saturday, May 1st. If you can help or need additional information contact Jen Peck at 338-8988.
FIRST STEPS IN MUSIC VOLUNTEER NEEDED:
Jen Appleyard, who has been handling the administrative duties of the First Steps in Music class will be stepping down in May, so we are looking for someone to fill her shoes! The administrative duties are fairly modest, and Jen can go over the details with anyone who is interested. Could be a perfect fit for someone with a pre-schooler in the program or already a Champlain parent! Contact Jen if you are interested at 862-9515.
SAVE THE DATE FOR 5TH GRADE PARENT INFORMATION NIGHT AT EMS:
Middle School is just around the corner for fifth grade students! Edmunds Middle School will be hosting a parent information night on Tuesday May 4th, 6:00 - 7:00 PM in the EMS library. Come learn about a typical day in the life of a 6th grader, plus activities like band, chorus, drama, and school sports.
MULTI-CULTURAL DINNER (SAVE THE DATE):
Champlain Elementary's Annual MULTI-CULTURAL DINNER & Haiti Benefit will be Thursday May 6th from 5:30-7pm. This is your opportunity to celebrate international cuisine and dress. Bring your favorite dish, and be prepared to feast on food from around the world. MARK YOUR CALENDARS! There will be a sign-up sheet in The Learning Center for Volunteers.
