Dear Champlain Elementary School Families,

 

Welcome to a new school year at Champlain! The PTO is excited to kick things off with you and your Champs. Together, we create a school community that supports both academic growth and joyful social experiences for our children.

 

Last year, with your partnership, the PTO was able to make a big impact:

• Financial support for new teachers setting up their classrooms

• $3,000 in teacher grants for special projects and classroom equipment

• Holiday meal support for Champlain families

• Staff appreciation lunches and lounge goodies for 60 teachers and staff

• Free yearbooks for every student

• Transportation for field trips and support for the 5th grade class trip & Step Up Ceremony

• Schoolwide celebrations such as Harvestfest, Taiko drumming, the 4th/5th grade play, and community sing-alongs

• Parent education nights on topics such as social emotional wellbeing

• Community events like the Fun Run & Community Dinner, pumpkin patch trips for PreK and Kinderstars, and the Golden Dome Readers celebration

• Fresh garden and Charlie Cart supplies, outdoor picnic tables, and first-period kits for the nurse’s station

• Support for the Gear Swap, Field Day, and mini-miler registration fees
